DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Travel From Vic Falls to Hwange Meals: HB
Your journey from Victoria Falls takes you through teak and mopane forests, local villages and Hwange Town, famous for its coal mining.
You enter Hwange National Park and, depending on the time of year and location of animals, your guide will select one of the many camps in and around Main Camp for your stay.
An afternoon game drive gives you your first opportunity to view the area's spectacular wildlife. Hwange is Zimbabwe's oldest and biggest national park and is home to the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino).
Day 2: Discover Hwange National Park Meals: FB
Today starts with an early morning game drive. Hwange has a diverse landscape: from open grasslands and Kalahari sand in the south to hillier woodlands in the north.
The park is one of Africa's finest havens for wildlife with large varieties of species including all Zimbabwe's specially protected animals. Your day is spent on game drives throughout the park, stopping at the many man made pump pans where the game concentrates.
Your 2nd night will be spent in the northern area of the park, in Sinamatella Camp.
Day 3: Head Back to Victoria Falls Meals: BB
Sinamatella Camp sits atop a cliff overlooking an open vlei area - a great location from which to view game. The area has both black and white rhino and your morning game drive focuses on trying to find these elusive animals.
After your game drive, you make your way back to Victoria Falls, arriving in the mid-afternoon.
